Site of the Sonezakigawa River and a bronze relief of Shijimibashi Bridge
1-5-29 Sonezaki Shinchi , Kita-ku, Osaka

The Sonezakigawa River was also known as the Shijimigawa River. It ran in an east-west direction in Kitashinchi, with the entertainment district spanning the river on the north side known as Sonezaki Shinchi, and the commercial area on the south side known as Dojima Shinchi. The upper stretch of the river was filled in when the 1909 Great Kita Fire broke out, during which many of the bridges were lost.
