Temma Lullaby Memorial Stone
4-1-1 Temma (In Minami Temma Park) , Kita-ku, Osaka

This monument is located right next to the stone marking the site of the Temma Fruit and Vegetable Market inside Minami Temma Park on the north bank of the Okawa River. The lullaby tells of the lively market and water transportation with the lyrics “It’s time to sleep, Temma Market, it’s time to gather the radishes and load them on the boats.” This monument was erected on April 23, 1983 as part of the 20th anniversary of the Osaka Temma Lions Club certification so that the original Temma lullaby could be preserved for future generations.
