This is the first museum in Japan dedicated to the history and culture of everyday living. One floor features an amazing life-sized recreation of Osaka town scenery from the early 1830s based on old documents and drawings. On the modern-day Osaka floor, you can peek into the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras through dioramas and videos where you’ll find nostalgic scenes of everyday life. Stop by the museum to see how the history and culture of Osaka has led to the city it is today.
