Built in 2000, the Osaka International Convention Center is a multifunction facility that hosts various events such as international conferences, exhibitions, and concerts, and stands nearly 104 meters high. Based on the concept of symbiosis by Kisho Kurokawa, who designed the National Museum of Ethnology and the National Bunraku Theater, this building features a plaza that keeps out direct sunlight and rain and blends into the surrounding scenery. It serves as the venue for local elementary school radio calisthenics and the Nakanoshima Summer Festival, making it an important part of the local community.
