A gorgeous oasis in the center of a metropolis

Nakanoshima Rose Garden, Nakanoshima Park
1-1 Nakanoshima , Kita-ku, Osaka

Despite being situated amongst the towering skyscrapers of Nakanoshima, you can sense the vastness of the sky and get up close to the Tosaborigawa and Dojimagawa rivers. Despite being sandwiched between the busy traffic of Naniwabashi and Tenjinbashi bridges, cars are not allowed in the park. The roses are at peak bloom in early summer and autumn. Osaka city employees work diligently to tend the 3,700 roses of 310 varieties, which are arranged beautifully in planters around the park. The high point of the park is Barazonobashi Bridge. Look toward the west side of the bridge to catch a glimpse of the beautiful contrasting rose garden and stately Naniwabashi Bridge. On the east side, you can see people enjoying lunch, taking a nap, or practicing yoga on the grass stretching all the way to Tenjinbashi Bridge even on weekdays.
